Electrolytes and hydration for perimenopause

Night sweats, hot flushes and GLP-1 medications all pull fluid and sodium out of you faster than plain water replaces it. Persistent afternoon fatigue, headaches and dizziness on standing are often a hydration problem wearing a hormone costume.

Quick answer

Sodium in the 300 to 1000mg range per serving; token amounts do very little. Options below start around €13.99, sold directly by Shopify merchants.

What to look for

  • Sodium in the 300 to 1000mg range per serving; token amounts do very little.
  • No or low added sugar unless you are using it around endurance exercise.
  • Added magnesium and potassium are useful; a long ingredient list of botanicals usually is not.

If you have high blood pressure or kidney disease, check sodium intake with your clinician before adding an electrolyte product daily.
